This event uses Madison Bracketing in JUNIOR and NOVICE DIVISIONS. Madison Bracketing is the process of taking the registration information provided to adjust the groups for appropriate bracketing in consideration of belt rank, age and weight.

REGULAR CADETS, JR IJF, AND SENIORS, MASTERS/VETERANS WILL FOLLOW THE NATIONAL DIVISION

CURRENT IJF RULES (MODIFIED). IJF RULE MODIFICATIONS

No Kansetsu-Waza allowed in any Junior, or Novice Division. No Shime-Waza allowed in junior competition for athletes under 13 years of age. Senior and Master Novice cannot use armbars. Kansetsu waza is allowed in brown belt and higher.

The use of blue and white gis is encouraged. All competitors must have at least a white gi. A match between two blue gis will not be permitted. Female players must wear a solid white shirt under their gi. Remember if you do not bring a blue and a white gi, you must provide your own white and blue belts.
