TOURNAMENT LOCATION: 

• Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake High School 88 Lakehill Rd, Burnt Hills, NY 12027

ELIGIBILITY:  

• US COMPETITORS:  Must be a current member of USA Judo or ATJA. Online membership available for USA Judo on day of tournament.

REGISTRATION:

• Online registration on SmoothComp

• Walk-in registration from 4 - 8pm Saturday, October 12 at the Jason Morris Judo Center located at 584 Saratoga Rd., Glenville, NY 12302

COMPETITOR CHECK-IN AND KATA TOURNAMENT START:

All competitors must check in by 7:30am Sunday at the tournament site: BHBL High School.

Kata competition starts at 8am Sunday. Gym opens at 7am.

KATA DIVISIONS:

Open Division:

• Nage-No-Kata, Katame-No-Kata & Ju-No-Kata.

Novice Division:

• Nage-No-Kata - First 3 Sets.      
• Katame-No-Kata - First 2 Sets.      
• Juno-Kata - All sets          

COMPETING IN MULTIPLE KATA DIVISION:

A competitor may compete the same kata more than once if they a) switch roles, i.e. compete once as an uke and once as a tori with the same partner, or b) compete with a different partner, i.e. as uke (or tori) for both partners, or uke with one and tori with the other.

When competing multiple times in the same kata, an entry form must be submitted for each performance.

TEAM MAKE-UP:

• Same Gender Teams and Mixed Gender Teams will compete in the same kata divisions.

• Novice division - Both team members are Non-Blackbelts

RULES:

IJF Judo Kata Evaluation Criteria, including judo gi fit requirements.

AWARDS:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place 

ENTRY FEES:

• $80 per team for OPEN, $35 per team for second kata, $25 per team for third kata
• $50 per team for NOVICE, $20 per team for second kata, $15 per team for third kata

SMOOTHCOMP REGISTRATION PROFILE:

When setting up your profile in Smoothcomp, you need to create your team's profile using your two last names as the name. There is no way to set up the Tori and Uke parts on this registration system so you will have to follow up with an email to me: Teri Takemori - [email protected]. If you have any question
