Competition RULES

1. IJF 2023 Rules will Govern
2. No arm locks until the 2003-2008 YOB division
3. Mat Side coaching will be allowed in all divisions
4. Players will be allowed to change gis to conform to the rules, without being penalized
5. Chokes will be allowed in Senior novice competition
6. All female contestants are required to wear a plain white t-shirt and hair should be secured up above the collar
7. Blue & White judo gis are required for Senior & Veteran Competitors
8. All contestants, including juniors, must bring at least one white gi.
9. A player called to white side must wear a white gi, or forfeit- no exceptions
10. Modified Double Elimination for all pools (3-5 man pools will fight round robin)
11. 2006-2008 and 2003-2008 YOB divisions are the only junior divisions with Chokes
12. Current IJF Medical Rules will apply to all divisions (no examination except for blood or grave injury)
13. For the KATA categories- the IJF kata evaluation criteria will be applied
14. For the KATA categories, tournament directors have the right to combine categories for awards if there is minimal attendance of a category.

*We recognize that satellite weigh ins can sometimes lead to seeming size differences. If there are concerns about the size of a child competing in your child's division, we will have scales on site on Sunday to check questionable weights.  In order to ensure safety, the tournament director can assist in ensuring that all competitors in your child's division are within the weight category entered. 

MATCH TIMES

Juniors, veterans, female novice, and male sankyu and below  - 3 minutes

All IJF youth, elite female open and male elite nikyu & above - 4 minutes
